Wang Weiming, director of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that in recent years, relevant departments such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the General Administration of Sport have strengthened the coordination of supply and demand, and coordinated the development of the sports equipment industry. Currently, there are over 63,000 sports equipment production enterprises nationwide, with the output value of the sports equipment industry increasing from 1.12 trillion yuan in 2015 to over 1.5 trillion yuan, a 34% growth. A number of leading enterprises have emerged, with 8 listed production enterprises having annual revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan. A total of 146 national-level specialized and new "small giant" enterprises and 15 manufacturing champions have been cultivated in the field of sports equipment. With leading enterprises as the core, the pattern of integrated development of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain is gradually forming, and the industrial cluster is continuously expanding.
