Tencent considers issuing dessert bonds, returning to the offshore bond market for the first time since 2021.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Tencent Holdings is considering issuing offshore Renminbi bonds as early as this month, marking its first return to the offshore bond market in four years. They said that investment banks have been assessing market interest in Tencent's potential issuance in the past few days. The sources added that the plan has not been finalized yet and details may be adjusted based on investor feedback. Tencent did not respond to requests for comment via email.
