Xin Guobin, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at a press conference on September 9 that China's production of new energy vehicles has skyrocketed from around 1.4 million in 2020 to around 13 million in 2024, with sales increasing in the same period. The market size has more than tripled, with the proportion of new energy vehicle sales increasing from 5.4% in 2020 to 40.9%.
