The Disease Prevention and Control Center of Tongzhou District, Nantong, Jiangsu Province released a notice on September 9th regarding the handling of a case of acute gastrointestinal infectious disease in Erjia Town, Tongzhou District: At 6 pm on September 4th, the Third People's Hospital of Nantong reported a confirmed case of cholera in Tongzhou District, who is a resident of Xinshi Community in Erjia Town. The patient has been effectively treated and is now basically recovered. So far, no new cases have been found. The center has organized and carried out investigation, sampling testing, and tracking management in accordance with the requirements of cholera disposal norms, and guided the local authorities to conduct corresponding sterilization and disposal on the suspected source location - the Erjia Agricultural Market.
