After a "gap-up" in the early Asia-Pacific session, the US stocks briefly turned lower before the market close. The euro rose by 0.44% against the Japanese yen, and the British pound rose by 0.35% against the Japanese yen. The euro also rose by 0.36% against the US dollar, 0.10% against the British pound, but fell by 0.29% against the Swiss franc. The British pound rose by 0.28% against the US dollar, and the US dollar fell by 0.59% against the Swiss franc. Among commodity currencies, the Australian dollar rose by 0.51% against the US dollar, the New Zealand dollar rose by 0.82% against the US dollar, and the US dollar fell by 0.18% against the Canadian dollar.
