Norway held a new parliamentary election on the 8th, with voters casting their ballots in 19 constituencies nationwide to elect 169 members of parliament from a total of 4912 candidates from 22 political parties or organizations. The election took place from 9:00 to 21:00 local time on the 8th, with some areas beginning voting on the 7th. Officials told reporters that in addition to voting on election day, voters could also cast their ballots at designated early voting stations from early July to September 5th. Preliminary results are expected to be announced as early as the evening of the 8th local time. According to data from the Norwegian Statistics Bureau, a record high of 4.05 million eligible voters participated in this election.
