SMIC International (00981) plans to issue A-shares to acquire 49% equity of SMIC Northern China.

The Financial Intelligence App reports that Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (00981) has announced that it plans to issue shares to the National Integrated Circuit Fund, Integrated Circuit Investment Center, Yizhuang National Venture, Zhongguancun Development, and Beijing State-Owned Industrial Investment in order to purchase their 49% stake in SMIC North. After this transaction is completed, the company will hold 100% of SMIC North's shares, making SMIC North a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.
