Uber's intelligent driving company and Momenta, a mobile travel service platform, announced that Munich, Germany will be the initial city for their joint Robotaxi project, with plans to officially launch operation in the local area in 2026. In May of this year, Uber and Momenta announced a strategic partnership to introduce autonomous vehicles to Uber's platform in international markets outside of the United States and China.
