Media reports citing conference records obtained reported that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) plans to open a fast track for the review of nicotine pouch products from four tobacco companies in a pilot project set to launch on Monday. The FDA aims to complete the review of nicotine pouch products from Philip Morris International, Altria Group, Reynolds American, and Turning Point Brands by December. These products will undergo a simplified and expedited application process for review, with increased communication frequencies between FDA staff and applicants, and an accelerated approval process.
