The National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration issued the Implementation Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of "Artificial Intelligence +" Energy.

The opinion points out that by 2027, the preliminary construction of the innovative integration system of energy and artificial intelligence will be established, and the foundation for the coordinated development of computing power and electricity will continue to be solidified. Significant breakthroughs will be made in empowering energy core technologies with artificial intelligence, leading to a wider and deeper application. By 2030, the specialized artificial intelligence technologies and applications in the energy field will overall reach the world's leading level. The coordinated mechanism of computing power and electricity will be further improved, establishing a green, economic, safe, and efficient computing power utilization model.
