In the summer of 2025, the amount of UnionPay and NetsUnion payments increased by 16.64% compared to the previous year.

According to data from the People's Bank of China, in July and August of 2025, China UnionPay and China National Advanced Payment System processed a total of 2769.96 billion payment transactions, amounting to 151.66 trillion yuan. This represents year-on-year increases of 14.59% and 16.64% respectively, with the growth rate of the transaction amount accelerating by 3.3 percentage points compared to the first half of the year.
