Regarding Typhoon "Taba", the Pearl River Flood Control Headquarters and the Pearl River Commission have raised their emergency response to level III.

Affected by this year's 16th typhoon "Taba", from September 7th to 10th, the western and southern parts of Guangdong, the central and southern parts of Guangxi, and other areas will see accumulated rainfall of 90-240 millimeters, with some areas possibly exceeding 300 millimeters. During this time, the main stream of the Xijiang River, as well as the Yujiang River, Beiliu River, and major rivers along the coast of western Guangdong and southern Guangxi, will experience rising water levels. There is a high risk of small and medium-sized rivers flooding and flash floods in areas with heavy rainfall. In view of the current flood control situation in the basin, the Pearl River Flood Control Headquarters raised the emergency response for flood control and typhoon prevention to level III at 3 pm on September 7th, and the Pearl River Commission simultaneously raised the emergency response for flood defense to level III.
