Typhoon Talas is expected to make landfall in Guangdong Province, with possible heavy rain in some areas of Guangzhou.

At 5 o'clock today, the center of the 16th typhoon of the year, "Taba", was located on the northern part of the South China Sea, about 495 kilometers southeast of Dianbai District in Maoming City, Guangdong Province. It is expected that "Taba" will move northwestward at a speed of 10-15 kilometers per hour, gradually strengthening, and is expected to make landfall along the coastal areas of Zhuhai to Zhanjiang in Guangdong from early morning to noon on the 8th, after which its intensity will gradually weaken.
