Trump said the list of candidates for the Chairman of the Federal Reserve has been narrowed down to three people.

According to a report by Reuters on the 5th, US President Trump told reporters that the list of candidates for the Federal Reserve Chairman has been narrowed down to three people. The list includes White House National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett, former Federal Reserve Board Governor Kevin Warsh, and Federal Reserve Board Governor Christopher Waller. Trump also mentioned that he would consider US Treasury Secretary Mnuchin. However, Mnuchin has expressed no interest in taking on this position. For months, Trump has been demanding interest rate cuts from the Federal Reserve, and because the Federal Reserve has been reluctant to cut rates, Trump has repeatedly criticized current Federal Reserve Chairman Powell and even threatened to dismiss him.
