The data shows that in September, the business climate index for the retail industry in China was 50.6%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points compared to the previous month, marking a continuous increase for 2 months and reaching a new high in 8 months. In terms of industry classification, the index for merchandise operations was 50.6%, an increase of 0.9 percentage points compared to the previous month; the index for leasing operations was 51.4%, a decrease of 0.7 percentage points compared to the previous month, maintaining its position in the moderately high business climate range; the index for e-commerce operations returned to the expansion range, with the index for the total number of online goods increasing by 0.8 percentage points from the previous month, ending a 4-month trend of decline.
