Xinjiang Railway adjusts its schedule today, allowing Urumqi to have direct services to 8 cities.
Starting from midnight today, the Urumqi Railway Bureau has adjusted the operating schedule of passenger trains within Xinjiang, with Urumqi establishing "direct services" to 8 cities. The travel time of 18 passenger trains traveling between southern and northern Xinjiang has been further shortened. After the adjustment, the operating schedule of passenger trains from Urumqi to Kuwu, Yining, Altay, Karamay, Bole, Kashgar, and Hotan in various directions of southern and northern Xinjiang has changed. The travel time of train 5816/7 from Urumqi to Hotan is now 21 hours and 34 minutes, nearly 90 minutes less compared to before; the travel time of train K9735 from Urumqi to Altay is now 13 hours and 20 minutes, 56 minutes less compared to before; and a pair of direct express passenger trains has been added between Kashgar and Hotan, with a one-way travel time of 3 hours and 27 minutes, up to 3 hours less than other trains in the same direction. Additionally, "direct services" with Fuxing high-speed trains have been added between Urumqi and Kuwu, as well as Yining, enabling Urumqi to achieve direct train services with 8 important cities including Hami, Kashgar, Aksu, Korla, Kuwu, Yining, Bole, and Karamay.
