AppLovin (APP.US) and Robinhood (HOOD.US) have been included in the S&P 500 Index. After-hours stock prices for both companies surged 7%.

According to the Tencent Finance APP, Standard & Poor's announced on Friday that it will make quarterly adjustments to the components of the S&P 500 Index. Ad tech company AppLovin (APP.US) and stock trading app Robinhood (HOOD.US) will officially join the S&P 500 Index. After this news was announced, the stock prices of both companies soared by about 7% in after-hours trading.
