This year, the number of goods transported by the Western Land-Sea New Channel has exceeded 1 million standard containers.
According to the China Railway Nanning Bureau, as of September 4th, the number of containers transported by the Western Land-Sea New Channel train has exceeded 1 million, reaching 1,001,455 containers, a year-on-year increase of 72.5%, marking the first time that the annual shipment volume has exceeded 1 million containers. This year, the railway department has continuously expanded the coverage of train services, with a total of 24 scheduled routes for the Western Land-Sea New Channel train, including 14 routes starting from Beibu Gulf Port and Zhanjiang Port. Zhao Jian, Deputy Station Master of Qinzhou Port East Station of Guangxi Coastal Railway Company, introduced that as a hub station for the rail-sea intermodal transportation of the Western Land-Sea New Channel, Qinzhou Port East Station has handled a total of 10.572 million tons of cargo so far this year, a year-on-year increase of 29.7%.
