The Minister of Health of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Eteni Longondo, said on the 4th that the Ebola epidemic has broken out in the central province of Kasai for the 16th time since 1976. Longondo said at a press conference in Kinshasa that there have been 28 suspected cases of Ebola infection, including 15 deaths, reported in the Brabapa area of Kasai province. He emphasized that these are preliminary results and further investigations are ongoing.
