The French National Commission for Information Freedom announced on its official website on September 3rd that Google Inc. has been fined 3.25 billion euros for violating French laws by implanting advertisements in its email service. The commission's investigation found that Google had inserted ads in its Gmail service in the form of emails. The commission believes that according to French laws, consent from users is required for such advertisements.
