The continuous decline in mortgage interest rates in the United States has brought some relief to homebuyers. According to the Mortgage Bankers Association, the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage has dropped to 6.5%, hitting a new low since October 17 of last year, compared to last week's 6.56%. Over the past two months, mortgage rates have been steadily falling from a high of 7%. This downward trend may attract some hesitant homebuyers to enter the market, but many others may still be waiting for larger rate cuts.
