The UK Maritime Trade Operations office said on September 4th that a ship was attacked in the Red Sea, but fortunately was not hit. It is not yet clear if the attack was carried out by Houthi rebels from Yemen. The office received a report that a ship was attacked by an "unidentified flying object" 178 nautical miles northwest of the port of Hodeidah in Yemen. However, the flying object did not hit the ship and instead fell into the sea near the vessel. The ship and crew were unharmed and continued on to their destination. The office also stated that there was strong electronic interference in the area at the time of the incident.
