On the evening of September 4th, Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, who was in China to attend the 80th anniversary commemoration of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping pointed out that China and North Korea are good neighbors, good friends, and good comrades with shared destiny and mutual assistance. The friendship between China and North Korea has a long history, as both countries are socialist states led by communist parties with common ideals and goals.
