Hong Kong signs tax agreement with Jordan

Director of the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, James Lau, held a bilateral meeting with Jordan's Ambassador to China, Hussam Hussaini, in Beijing today and signed a comprehensive double taxation avoidance agreement on behalf of the SAR government and the Jordanian government. Lau stated that the signing of the agreement reflects Hong Kong's continuous efforts to deepen cooperation with countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, and serves as a good starting point to further promote financial and economic ties between Hong Kong and Jordan.
