On the morning of the 4th, Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shabaz at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing, who came to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Li Keqiang stated that since the beginning of this year, the international situation has become more unstable and uncertain. China and Pakistan have maintained close strategic communication and jointly responded to risks and challenges, reflecting the high level of their relationship. President Xi Jinping had a meeting with Prime Minister Shabaz the day before yesterday, reaching new important consensus on promoting the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan. China is willing to maintain close high-level exchanges with Pakistan, continuously deepen strategic mutual trust, further strengthen unity and cooperation, and accelerate the construction of a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era. Li Keqiang pointed out that China is willing to actively upgrade the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor 2.0 version with Pakistan, make good use of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Joint Committee, Economic and Trade Joint Committee, Science and Technology Joint Committee, and other mechanisms, promote trade expansion and efficiency improvement, deepen industrial docking and integration, and promote the construction of major connectivity projects such as ports, roads, and railways to achieve more win-win results. China is willing to import more high-quality products from Pakistan and welcomes Pakistan to make good use of platforms such as the China International Import Expo. Both sides should deepen exchanges in the fields of health, education, local cooperation, youth, culture, etc., to promote mutual understanding between the two peoples. China is willing to help Pakistan strengthen its counter-terrorism capabilities and hopes that both sides can jointly ensure the security of Chinese personnel, projects, and institutions in Pakistan. China supports Pakistan in playing an active role in international and regional affairs and is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with Pakistan on issues such as climate change.
