Wisdom Financial APP learned that as Swiss policymakers assess whether the economy can withstand the impact of high US tariffs, the country's inflation has remained positive for the third consecutive month, providing some comfort to policymakers. Data released on Thursday showed that Switzerland's CPI rose 0.2% year-on-year in August, consistent with the previous value, with most economists expecting inflation to remain at the 0.2% level in August or accelerate further. At the same time, the core CPI, which excludes unstable factors such as energy, rose 0.7% year-on-year, lower than the previous 0.8%.
