The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Center was officially established in Qingdao, China.
On September 4th, the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Center was officially established in Qingdao, Shandong province. During the event, 10 key international cooperation projects targeting SCO member countries were launched, covering various fields such as biomedicine, high-end equipment, and modern efficient agriculture. It was revealed that the China-SCO Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Center will continue to promote academic exchanges in the field of innovation, actively organize events such as the China-SCO Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Conference, Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and Technology Achievement Exhibition; promote joint project selection in priority areas to facilitate joint innovation in fields such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, healthcare, modern agriculture, and climate change, actively engage in bilateral and multilateral joint R&D, and promote the establishment of international joint laboratories, research and development centers, etc.; encourage cross-border technology transfer, establish international technology transfer platforms, improve the level of services in international technology transfer managers, intellectual property rights and other aspects; establish an international think tank of SCO member countries, create a think tank alliance, and engage in in-depth exchanges on science and technology innovation policies and practical experiences with various parties to provide intellectual support for international scientific and technological cooperation.
