Japan had a net purchase of 1.4 trillion yen of overseas bonds last week.

Data released by the Japanese Ministry of Finance shows that Japanese investors were net buyers of foreign bonds in the week ending on August 29. Japanese investors purchased 481.8 billion yen worth of overseas stocks. Foreign investors bought 397.4 billion yen worth of Japanese bonds, and sold 785.7 billion yen worth of Japanese stocks.
