On September 4th, there was news that BYD has lowered its sales target for 2025 by 16%, from the original 5.5 million units to 4.6 million units. From January to August, BYD's cumulative sales reached 2.8639 million units, an increase of 23% compared to the same period last year. Although still ranking first on the list of Chinese auto companies in terms of sales, the completion rate of the annual sales target of 5.5 million units is only 52%. As of now, BYD has not responded to this news. Industry analysts generally believe that BYD's cautious adjustment of sales targets is a rational decision, especially before the peak season for car sales in September and October, which will have a positive impact on its future strategic planning, coordination with suppliers, and the development of market promotion strategies (Xinhua Finance).
