On September 1, 2025, the International Table Tennis Federation's independent court ruled to reject the appeal submitted by the Qatar Table Tennis Association and Mr. Karim Al-Muhanadi, confirming the validity of the election of Petra Sorling as the president of the International Table Tennis Federation on May 27, 2025.
