On September 2, Han Jun, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, presided over the meeting of the Party Group of the Ministry. The meeting emphasized the need to strongly support the development of agriculture and animal husbandry with Tibetan characteristics, focusing on specialty industries such as highland barley, yaks, and Tibetan pigs. They also emphasized the need to quickly address the shortcomings in product processing, cold chain logistics, and brand marketing, and to promote the development of agriculture and animal husbandry with characteristics, greenness, branding, and high quality. They also instructed to support Tibet in continuing to consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation, to address problems discovered in assessments, to further enhance monitoring and early warning and the effectiveness of precise assistance, and to effectively implement employment assistance, industry assistance, and follow-up assistance for poverty alleviation through relocation, to prevent large-scale poverty returns. It was also emphasized to strongly support the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas in Tibet, to learn from and apply the experience of the "millions of projects", to base them on local conditions and ethnic characteristics, and to plan and implement more small-scale and high-quality livelihood projects focusing on rural roads, rural living environment improvement, education, healthcare, and elderly care, to build livable and prosperous villages with highland characteristics. The meeting also instructed to care for and support the agricultural and rural aid officials in Tibet, and to help solve their practical difficulties.
