Jiangxi medical insurance fund has settled direct payments with pharmaceutical companies of nearly 30 billion yuan.

On September 2nd, according to the National Medical Insurance Administration, Jiangxi has innovatively implemented a revolving fund system, established a direct settlement mode for advance payments and hospital refunds, shortened the settlement period of enterprise payments from the previous 180 days to 30 days, significantly improving the capital operation efficiency of pharmaceutical supply companies and addressing the pain points of "difficult and slow refunds" for pharmaceutical enterprises. Since the implementation of direct settlement of centrally purchased drugs and consumables in 2020 and the direct settlement of national drug negotiations in December 2024, as of July 2025, the provincial and local medical insurance departments have directly settled a total of 29.642 billion yuan in payments with pharmaceutical companies. Among them, the amount in 2025 reached 9.973 billion yuan, achieving full coverage of centrally purchased drugs and consumables and national drug negotiation payments through medical insurance direct settlement.
