Sichuan Province today officially announced the start of the platform economy, walking the advanced path of "ecological construction."

On the morning of September 2nd, the "Sichuan Platform Economy Industry Chain Cooperation Partner Conference" hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Chengdu Municipal People's Government was held in Chengdu, attracting more than 200 guests from top platforms such as Taotian, Jingdong, Douyin, as well as emerging enterprises such as Baiguo, Dewu, and Huaxinshenghuo. At the conference, Wu Chao, Chairman of Yingchao Technology, released the "Sichuan Platform Economy Industry Development Report", which indirectly confirms the foundation of the Western economic powerhouse in the platform economy. The report shows that Sichuan's e-commerce is leading the trend in the central and western regions, with both size and growth advantages. In the first half of 2025, Sichuan's online retail sales reached 542.8 billion yuan, ranking 6th in the country and 1st in the central and western regions, with a growth rate leading the top five provinces in the central and western regions.
