Zhou Yingjun, former deputy director of the Social Construction Committee of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Gansu Province, has been expelled from the party.

According to the news from the Gansu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, recently, with the approval of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee, the Gansu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision conducted a case review and investigation into the serious violations of discipline and law by Zhou Yingjun, former deputy director of the Social Construction Committee of the Gansu Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee. After investigation, it was found that Zhou Yingjun, as a party member and leading cadre, had lost his ideals and beliefs, lacked party discipline and principles, had no sense of awe, and had long engaged in violations of discipline and law. He violated the political rules of the party by colluding with others, transferring and concealing illegal gains, fabricating false information, obstructing organizational checks, and engaging in feudal superstitions. He disregarded the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulation, accepted gifts and money, and frequently accepted banquets and travel arrangements from management service objects, misused public vehicles. He failed to report his spouse's property and business situation, did not truthfully answer questions during organizational inquiries, sought personal gain for others during recruitment and job transfers of cadres and workers. He engaged in power-for-money transactions, sought special treatment in official benefits, engaged in profit-making activities against the rules. He violated work discipline by not taking responsibilities, not doing his job, and not fulfilling his duties. He neglected family education and management. He used his power and position to help others in project contracting and payment settlements, and illegally accepted huge amounts of property. Zhou Yingjun seriously violated the party's political discipline, the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulation, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, work discipline, and life discipline. This constitutes a serious violation of official duties and suspected bribery crimes. He did not restrain himself after the 18th National Congress of the Party, with a serious situation, and should be dealt with seriously. In accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Disciplinary Measures of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Administrative Sanctions Law for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China," after the study of the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Gansu Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the approval of the Gansu Provincial Party Committee, it was decided to expel Zhou Yingjun from the party and to cancel his corresponding retirement benefits as regulations.
