Sichuan: By 2027, the revenue of the new energy industry chain will exceed 500 billion yuan.

According to the Economic and Information Department of Sichuan Province, the Economic and Information Department of Sichuan Province, together with the Provincial Energy Bureau, recently issued the "Development Plan for the Strengthening and Development of the New Energy Industry Chain in Sichuan Province." The plan sets the industrial development goal: by 2027, the operating income of the new energy industry chain in Sichuan will exceed 500 billion yuan, striving to reach 600 billion yuan. As a strategic emerging industry and a representative industry of new quality productivity, by the end of 2024, Sichuan will have nearly 200 new energy industry chain companies in fields such as photovoltaics, wind power, and hydrogen energy, and the overall strength of the industry chain ranks among the top three in the country. As of the end of June this year, the province has had 51.25 million kilowatts of wind and solar energy projects that have been built or are under construction. The Development Plan is based on Sichuan's resource endowment and industrial foundation, conducting a systematic analysis of the global development situation, opportunities, challenges, and development environment of the new energy industry, as well as conducting in-depth research on the current situation, trends, and potential of the new energy industry in Sichuan. It extensively solicited opinions from all parties and proposed 17 key tasks focusing on five aspects: continuously improving independent innovation capability, accelerating the upgrading of cluster-style industrial chains, promoting intelligent and green transformation of industries, optimizing and enhancing the industrial development ecology, and accelerating the expansion of the application market scale.
