Li Yichang refused to support the US proposal to disarm Hezbollah.

On August 31st, local time, Lebanese Speaker of the House Berri made a speech, rejecting the US proposal for Hezbollah to disarm. Berri stated in his speech that Lebanon is willing to discuss the whereabouts of Hezbollah's weapons, but these discussions must take place within a framework of "calm and unanimous agreement" and not under the threat of foreign powers.
