World Health Organization Report: Global cholera epidemic continues to worsen.

The World Health Organization released its latest report on the 29th, stating that due to conflicts and poverty, the global cholera epidemic continues to worsen. This disease has broken out in multiple countries, posing a significant public health challenge to many regions. The report shows that from January 1 to August 17, 2025, a total of over 409,000 cases of cholera/acute watery diarrhea were reported in 31 countries globally, including 4,738 deaths. In six countries, the case fatality rate exceeded 1%.
