The S&P/TSX Composite Index in Canada closed up 0.46% at 28564.45 points, hitting multiple record highs within the month. It rose 0.82% this week and 4.36% in August, continuing to fluctuate upwards. In August, the yield on Canada's 10-year benchmark government bond fell by 8.3 basis points, closing at 3.375% on Friday. The yield on Canada's 2-year bond fell by 13.2 basis points to 2.642%, with a significant drop on August 1st and trading around 2.7% from the 1st to the 28th before dropping again on the 29th. The yield on Canada's 5-year bond fell by 14.3 basis points to 2.882%.
