French government fiscal risks reignite, with the 30-year French bond yield rising more than 29 basis points in August.
In the afternoon of Friday in the European market, the French 10-year government bond yield rose by 3.4 basis points to 3.512%, with a cumulative increase of 16.3 basis points in August. The yield on the two-year French bond fell by 0.5 basis points, while the yield on the 30-year French bond increased by 29.1 basis points- dropping to 4.058% on August 5th, then continued to fluctuate and rise, reaching 4.447% on August 27th. The yield on the Italian 10-year government bond rose by 4.9 basis points to 3.587%, with a cumulative increase of 7.8 basis points in August, trading in a range of 3.398%-3.602%. The yield on the Spanish 10-year government bond rose by 5.5 basis points to 3.330%. The yield on the Greek 10-year government bond rose by 5.1 basis points to 3.418%.
