On August 28th local time, data released by the Investment Company Institute (ICI) showed that in July, long-term equity mutual funds investing in US stocks experienced massive fund outflows, with a net outflow of $357.43 billion, far exceeding the $61.65 billion in June, setting a new high for the period. The cumulative net outflow for the first six months of this year was approximately $259 billion. ICI stated that this round of massive withdrawals mainly came from collective investment trusts, rather than concentrated redemptions by individual investors.
