The closing price calculation for July shows that the total market value of domestic shares of listed companies is close to 95 trillion yuan, the highest point for each month end in nearly three years.

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, statistics from the China Securities Association show that as of July 31, 2025, there were a total of 5427 listed companies in the domestic stock market, with 2285, 2873, and 269 companies listed on the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing stock exchanges respectively. In terms of share types, there were 5188 companies only issuing A-shares, 8 companies only issuing B-shares, and 231 companies issuing multiple share types such as A+B and A+H.
