Director of the State Oceanic Administration Sun Shuxian: "One province, one policy" supports the construction of maritime strong provinces

Sun Shuxian, director of the State Oceanic Administration, published an article in the Study Times today titled "Taking a Path of Strengthening the Ocean with Chinese Characteristics". In the article, it is mentioned that there is a need to enhance research on the development planning of bays. Support should be given to the orderly advancement of the optimization and integration of coastal port groups, continuously improving the level of port development. Support is also needed for the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Channel, to develop oceanic economies. The strategy of "one province, one policy" supports the construction of strong maritime provinces, relying on major bays to construct national marine economic development demonstration zones, modern maritime cities, and to build marine economic regional growth poles, enhancing the level of marine development in the northern, eastern, and southern marine economic zones.
