National Development and Reform Commission: Will improve the long-term mechanism for private enterprises to participate in the construction of major national projects.
On August 29, Li Chao, Deputy Director of the Policy Research Office of the National Development and Reform Commission and spokesperson, answered questions from reporters from Securities Times at a press conference. Li Chao stated that currently, China's economic operation still faces uncertainties in the external environment, with many factors, residents' consumption capacity and confidence need to be further improved, intensifying competition among enterprises, declining investment returns, and other risks and challenges. In response to the problems existing in the current economic operation, the National Development and Reform Commission will firmly implement the strategy of expanding domestic demand in cooperation with relevant departments, further strengthen internal circulation, optimize external circulation, and promote dual circulation. In terms of government investment, it is necessary to focus on key areas and plan and reserve a batch of key projects needed for development, areas where local resources can be utilized, and projects that people are eagerly anticipating. In particular, for projects in the field of people's livelihood, the National Development and Reform Commission will study further increasing central government investment support, reducing local investment pressure; in terms of private investment, it is necessary to urgently study and introduce policy measures to promote the development of private investment and improve the long-term mechanism for private enterprises to participate in major national projects.
