NVIDIA partners with Google to lead investment, nuclear fusion startup CFS receives another $863 million in financing.

American fusion energy startup Commonwealth Fusion Systems announced on Thursday that the company has received the latest round of financing totaling $863 million, with investors including artificial intelligence giant Nvidia. This financing will be used to advance the construction of CFS fusion energy demonstration systems and accelerate the development of the first commercial fusion power plant. According to a statement released by CFS, Nvidia's venture capital division, NVentures, participated in this round of financing, along with other investors such as existing shareholders Khosla Ventures and Google's parent company Alphabet, as well as several sovereign wealth funds and investment banks. Since its establishment, CFS has raised approximately $3 billion, accounting for about one-third of the total global funding in the fusion energy industry.
