Director Liu Liehong of the National Bureau of Statistics: Recently, a batch of data industry agglomeration zone construction pilot projects are being deployed.

On August 28, Liu Liehong, Director of the National Bureau of Statistics, stated at the opening ceremony of the 2025 China International Big Data Industry Expo that by 2024, there will be over 400,000 data enterprises nationwide, with an industry scale of 5.86 trillion yuan, an increase of 117% compared to the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan. In 2024, there were around 1,800 data industry financing events, further boosting market confidence. Building on the issuance of the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Data Industry" last year, efforts are currently underway to deploy a batch of pilot projects for the construction of data industry clusters, accelerating the formation of industrial ecosystems and scale advantages.
