The Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway Tianjin Airport No. 2 tunnel has been fully connected.

On August 28, the shield tunneling of the No. 2 tunnel at Tianjin Airport on the Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway was completed, laying a solid foundation for the track laying of the second phase of the Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway and subsequent opening. The Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway is a high-speed railway connecting Beijing and Tianjin's Binhai New Area. The first phase of the project began operations in December 2022, and the second phase is currently being accelerated.
