Ministry of Commerce: Continue to impose anti-dumping duties on imported phenol from the United States, the European Union, South Korea, Japan and Thailand.
The Ministry of Commerce announced the final ruling on the sunset review of the anti-dumping measures applicable to imported phenol originating from the United States, the European Union, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand. The Ministry of Commerce ruled that if the anti-dumping measures were terminated, dumping of imported phenol originating from the United States, the European Union, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand may continue or reoccur, causing possible harm to the phenol industry in China to continue or reoccur. The Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council made a decision based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Commerce, to continue imposing anti-dumping duties on imported phenol originating from the United States, the European Union, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand, starting from August 29, 2025, with an implementation period of 5 years.
