Former party secretary and vice chairman of the Qinghai Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, Chen Zhizhong, has been expelled from the party.
According to the news from the Discipline Inspection Commission of Qinghai Province: With the approval of the Qinghai Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Discipline Inspection Commission of Qinghai Province has initiated a case review and investigation into the serious disciplinary and legal violations of Chen Zhizhong, former party secretary and vice chairman of the Qinghai Provincial Federation of Trade Unions.
After investigation, it was found that Chen Zhizhong had lost his ideal and belief, betrayed his original aspirations and missions, and engaged in superstitious activities for a long time. He disregarded the spirit of the eight-point central regulations, accepted gifts and money in violation of regulations, participated in banquets and travel activities that could potentially affect the fair execution of official duties, violated organizational principles by not reporting personal related matters as required, provided assistance to others and accepted bribes in cadre relocation work, received free decor services, engaged in power-money transactions, and used his position of power to profit from others in undertaking engineering projects, coordinating corporate production operations and logistics quota planning, and illegally accepting huge bribes.
Chen Zhizhong seriously violated the party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, and lifestyle discipline, constituting a serious violation of duty and suspected bribery crimes. Furthermore, even after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, he did not restrain or stop his actions, with severe nature and negative influences, and thus should be severely dealt with. In accordance with relevant regulations such as the "Disciplinary Measures of the Communist Party of China," the "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China," and the "Regulations on Governmental Disciplinary Actions for Public Officials of the People's Republic of China," and after research and approval by the Standing Committee meeting of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Qinghai Province and reporting to the Qinghai Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China for approval, it was decided to expel Chen Zhizhong from the party, cancel his benefits, confiscate his ill-gotten gains, and transfer his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial organs for legal examination and prosecution, along with all related assets.
