He said, "Putin is about to make a visit to China that is completely unprecedented, and the visit is currently actively being prepared for." Peskov added, "This visit will be included in the events being organized by our Chinese friends." Peskov stated that for Moscow, the Russia-China relationship is a priority issue. He told reporters, "We are preparing for this visit, and the president is also preparing for it. High-level exchanges between Russia and China, as well as international exchanges during this visit, are always extremely important to us and will always be our priority issue." The report stated that from August 31 to September 1, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit will be held in Tianjin, and President Putin will attend this summit. On September 3, Beijing will hold events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and Putin will also be invited to attend.
