A report released by Counterpoint Research on August 28th shows that foldable smartphones are a niche market in Europe, but their sales are rapidly increasing, especially for book-style foldable phones. Intense competition from manufacturers like Honor has weakened Samsung's near monopoly on book-style foldable phones. Honor's success in the European foldable phone market with the Honor Magic V2 and Magic V3 has helped Honor become the fastest-growing book-style foldable phone manufacturer in Europe in 2024, with sales increasing by 377% year-on-year and market share tripling to 34%.
